Yesterday afternoon, Central Catholic did just enough to beat Chelmsford High School and advance to the Elite Eight to take on the number 1 seeded Lincoln Sudbury Warriors.
After a sloppy, nerve ridden showing by the Warriors on early Wednesday night, Central Catholic is feeling quite good about the chance to take down the 1 seed.
But LS has no plans of losing on their home turf.
The Warriors have been hitting the books hard on Central Catholic. With two all-staff film sessions under their belt already, the practice plans have been adjusted to replicate Central Catholic’s offensive and defensive sets accordingly.
These two teams have not met yet this year, and this bodes well for the home team.
LS runs an advanced zone defense that you rarely see in a high school team. Most first time teams are stunned on how to beat it, both players and staff.
Only time will tell if Central Catholic did their homework ahead of this weekends match up.
The stage is set for this Saturday at 4pm on the Lincoln Sudbury stadium field.
